it’s been a week of hellos and goodbyes… i met up with janet who was back on her annual summer break…

it was also the final week of internship for my jamming buddies chris and erica… and we celebrated with lunch at friday’s…

it was a thoroughly enjoyable weekend of meeting up with a bunch of friends over sumptuous meals of various cuisines courtesy of them :)

initially i planned on doing this recap on the last day of last year… but as usual i was caught up with other stuff… so here it is on the first day of the new year… :)

i ushered in 2007 at esplanade singapore… and we were treated to a rather elaborate display of fireworks… that was days after i got a job offer for my current position… :) the new semester had just begun… the final one for my batch mates and i… and we were looking forward to crossing the finish line successfully… but it was not without smart work…

although it was a rather busy semester… with the bachelor's degree project and all… we still managed to go for trips to malacca and singapore… and it was sometime about then that i got obsessed with hdr and couldn't wait to enter into the world of photography…

after all the parties and procrastination for most of us… we managed to rush for the completion of our robots successfully… and the presentation day was truly the climax of our smart work over the past academic year or so… i could remember the agony of debugging failed circuits… optimizing the hovercraft's design… and literally sleepless nights typing my final report…

after our final exam… it was time to bid farewell to the people we have come to know and love… as we parted ways at the dawn of a new path…

we made our way up the peak of mount kinabalu… and i even survived rafting after many gulps of the fresh water of the rapids… sabah was a great place for the outdoors… and it was a blast of a graduation trip…

i started my first professional job the following month… the one i'm still at now… i basically sit for hours and churn code… suitable for people who love a laidback lifestyle… it is a great place with great people in many ways… and after half a year at it… i'm still doing alright…

soon after getting a few paychecks… i couldn't resist getting a dslr to start shooting and processing some hdr… photography became a new hobby of mine…

our convocation came along and it was a short and sweet weekend for some reunion with family and friends as we celebrated this joyous occasion…

the last few months of the year had their fair share of parties, vacations, outings, team-buildings, photo trips and so forth… it was tiring at times but i managed to do with limited sleep…

the year came to a close with two day of celebrations… for my birthday and the new year's eve countdown at esplanade penang this time around :)

last week it was friday at friday's along with fellow cads for our quarterly event… we went to the movies and dinner…  the typical date :)

i have been procrastinating posting for more than a week now… anyway… the weekend before last was quite a busy one… on saturday… the penang chapter of the chefs' association of malaysia served free breakfast for members of the public at youth park…

after that… we adjourned to the altera carnivale to continue feasting even more…

my colleagues and i hiked up muka head hill the following day… it was fun burning all those calories accumulated from the day before :)

my updates are mostly either on feasts or fellowship… i'm running out of post titles… anyway… i was back in ipoh for the weekend… it was dad's birthday… and so it was time to hang out with family and friends… met up with a friend for a delicious lunch at kampai… and shot raw food in raw (lame pun intended)…

and sunday night was party time by the pier celebrating some friends' birthday…

last year a couple of friends and i ate mooncakes and sipped frappuccino in starbucks tmn u… i could still recall discussing about our final year project preliminary proposal… and how unprepared i was… procrastinating till the very last minute… well… those were the days i guess… a lunar year has passed since then… and this time around… i had dinner at ice ice baby and dessert at lecka lecka… the bartenders were juggling almost the whole time we were there… and so did the bartender in chili's during my lunch there some weeks back…

i know i use this phrase often… but well… it has really been an eventful week… hanging out almost nightly after work… i've hardly anytime left to process my HDRs… and i've to keep this post short too as i shall be leaving in a while… last sunday night was absolutely sinful… western food at burmah road… bottomless toscado chips at chili's… and some sweet desserts at crepe gurney drive… needless to say… we went home with a full stomach…

friday night… my colleagues and i had a crazy time at segafredo's… we nearly brought the house down with our games and antics… daring each other to do the wackiest stuff… standing on chairs…doing ear-pulling squats… u get the picture… not literally though as i won't be posting those less-than-complimentary photos… :P anyway… here's my group of fun-loving colleagues…

my department's quarterly teambuilding event was held at copthorne hotel last friday… the merciless weather forced us to forgo playing in the sand… but nevertheless we had much fun with various indoor games that were organized by the hotel management… and when the official program came to an end… we continued with a few exciting rounds of wolf (a.k.a. angels & devils, murderer) while waiting for dinner time… what a blast we had!
