post-sunset long-exposure shots at batu feringgi beach…

a couple more photos from mengkuang lake :)

on sunday evening… my colleagues and i traveled across to the mainland to mengkuang lake in bukit mertajam for some photo shooting… it was scenic indeed especially with the apparition of the rainbow halfway during shooting… by the way… the first panorama is from twelve portrait shots… while the second one is from seven landscape shots… on hindsight… i should have shot the second one in portrait orientation too… :)

during my last trip to ipoh a couple of months ago… i finally visited kek lok tong for the first time… meg and i were shooting everything from macro to landscape… here’s a three-by-three composite stitched from nine photos… the cave and its lotus pond were simply too huge to fit into one shot…

if only you could be spared from this hardship
if only you cried tears of joy not sorrow
if only you weren’t stuck in the relationship
if only you didn’t feel empty and hollow
cast the burdens that keep you from walking
paralyzing emotions which leave you broken
your fragile soul has taken too huge a beating
from actions unrealized and words unspoken
hanging on a thread of uncertainty
journeying into unchartered territory
your guardian watches over invisibly
as you tread along in search of your destiny
unexpectedly a devil in disguise
grave misconception, it came as a surprise
we mourn for truth and trust, their fall and demise
uncovering reality filled with ugly lies
punctured and stabbed, it’s no wonder you’re bleeding
wounded and scarred, it takes time for the healing
for they know not what they do, we’re forgiving
his steps must we follow in our daily living
fallen and unworthy, we should be ashamed
for our shortcomings, we have ourselves to blame
stepping forward, not going to where we came
renewed and changed, it will never be the same
after dim sum at anson road early on saturday morning… we made our way up penang hill… there were quite a number of tourists and a group of school children there too… so while waiting for the train… we took turns to shoot and pose :)

it was pretty hazy… and so the view of georgetown from the top was not as picturesque as i would have liked it to be… we also went to the canopy walk suspension bridge to enjoy the scenic nature amidst the extremely tall trees… and then hiked six kilometres down a steep road which left our legs exhausted…

here is a compilation of shots from various outings over the past month… the first was taken at the roadside of taiping lake garden with a neutral density 8 filter… while the following two were at the charcoal factory in trong… a short walk away from the mangrove swamp i went to during my previous visit to taiping…

lunch at dragon-i about a month back during the last week of work for our cad intern…

i had five steamboat dinners over the past couple of months or so… for numerous birthdays and farewells… and i’m not even a big fan of it in the first place… the latest one was in flame…
once eclipsed, nothing in sight but the glowing corona
we’ve passed the vertex of the quadratic parabola
unexpectedly turning with an increasing gradient
the rays of the sunshine have never been more radiant
it feels reinvigorating to break free from the loop
with its reiterations i was lifeless like a droop
crossing the valley anticipating greener pastures
journeying in uncertainty is part of life’s adventures
my cute little niece janelle… now about one and a half years of age… the last photo in this series shows her getting acquainted with the computer… and as she was watching the video from the previous night’s rave… she was dancing along to the thumping bass line… how cool is that :)
