yet another 360-degree view of the taiping lake garden after a downpour in the evening…

i'm in the midst of fixing up a fresh installation of my gallery… so it'll be soon (i hope) before the large versions of my hdrs are available :)

we had our teambuilding in tropical spice garden in teluk bahang a couple of days before our nation went to the polls… since then so much drama has unfolded that had us all so engrossed with the various inter and even intra-party political tussles… anyway that's a subject matter for another day…

first we had a guided tour around the garden where the guide explained to us the interesting uses of the various spices around… little did i know that a single betel nut… which is what the island of penang is named after… is a hallucinative drug when consumed in whole… even the nutmeg had similar but milder effects… which he went on to explain why nasi kandar and laksa were so addictive for some… we were introduced to a whole lot of other spices but i was too engrossed with taking pictures… and i don't have a good memory anyway…

next up was our treasure hunt whereby we were supposed to hunt for various spices from around the garden… it wasn't easy at all as the given clues were pretty cryptic… it was good exercise rushing all over the place in the midst of the beautiful greenery… and at the end of the day… we had a cooking competition of malaysia's favourite dish… curry!
