i haven't been gaming in cybercafes for a long time… and so it's quite a break from the usual when i say that serpent went gaming… and not jamming… and we even played till six in the a.m…. normally all we do together is hang out for drinks… so it was refreshing and fun to relive the excitement of gunning each other down in assault and dust… building chronospheres and tanks… it might just be our newfound hobby in the coming semester…

missile whirl… at first sight this may seem as a reference to the games we played last night… but it isn't… read again :)

it's over… one semester of hard work… hardly any work is more like it… :)

there isn't much difference to me… exams or none… my daily routine is pretty much the same… and relaxed as ever… my results will suffer from my lack of effort but i care very little about them anyway…

my camera came back… and it's only half-fixed… as some of the functions are inaccessible… probably due to loose contacts at the jog dial selector circuitry… i guess i shall make do with the available shooting modes for the time being…

a couple of days or so… and off i go…

unlike my post on the social browser not too long ago… this isn't about the wildly popular social bookmarking site… however… it has everything to do with gastronomical delights… there was such an abundance of mouth-watering delicacies at the raya open house i attended earlier tonight that it would be an injustice not to stuff myself… and i'm sure my bandmates and other friends who were there ate to their hearts' (and stomachs') content as well…

even though i don't have a cam… and hence the absence of pictures… i shall save myself the trouble of detailing the sumptuous dinner… my words will never be able to paint a picture that will reflect the aroma and atmosphere of the gathering…

next month will be a busy one indeed… not just with anything usual… but also with ocassions that come around once in a blue moon… which i shan't elaborate further at this point of time…

one final paper… one project… one last week… one month break… one eye's apple…

taking a break from some cutting… in the midst of my nightly build of the hovercraft… i know i'm not developing software in this case… but instead… the exact opposite of it… but it's a cool term so i just decided to (mis)use it… so anyway… my room's a mess… or should i say… it's an even bigger mess than before… those who have been here and who are reading this would nod in agreement… or shake their heads in disgust… whatever… haha…

edges can be blunt… sharp… rough… or smooth… it all depends on your skill… precision… and consistency… and as i've come to find out… i hardly have any of those three… the one thing i can do to mask the imperfection is to spray it black… then it'll probably look good… as long u don't look too close… :)

i should get back to squatting and kneeling… the floor is my workstation…

it's a week to the end of the finals… the exam schedule this time around is the least burdensome of all… a far cry from the days in second year when there were seven papers in six days… or so my friend says… i don't have a memory for such stuff… and now… it's a week's break between the penultimate and the last paper… what a gap… i'm guessing many of us have had an entire exam season in fewer days… and more subjects too…

i hope i can make some real progress with my project in the coming week… which i have put off doing for ages… i really need to pull myself away from the screen…

however… i'll watch some episodes of heroes first… 

this is an interesting piece of pieces… very creative indeed…

we jammed for the second time this semester… if i recalled correctly… and it's sad to say that there aren't many chances left for us to play together anymore… the drummer's leaving in less than a fortnight as he's finishing his course this semester…  and i'm wondering if i should have spent more time with the band…

i guess the four of us will be playing our swan song in ten days' time…

continuing with our tour… here's an intriguing sighting… the splash of white in the left corner is an anomaly… it's as if someone in googleplex smudged the image in photoshop… it's actually a used car dealership if i'm not mistaken… it might be something else now…

by the way… the school in the picture is where my mum used to teach… and also where some of you used to attend ;) 

the front page story of the star today is annoying… i could say a lot of things about it but since there's no freedom after speech in this country… i shall keep it safe… so to speak…

"bangsa malaysia means we do not evaluate someone by his skin colour, race or religion… it does not question the special rights of the malays, our quota or anything of that sort" says the dpm

is it just me or are the two sentences contradictory… to evaluate is to judge… determine the significance… or to assess… now tell me… is there a just playing ground for everyone? are the national policies and schemes truly colour-blind? is it fair assessment when top students from the minority are sidelined year in and year out? does it really take decades to approve the building of a church? what about the non-transparency of the equity ownership of the majority?

it's pretty simple… be grateful when you are enjoying the privileges provided by the constitution… and cut the crap… the "concept (which) is the state of an individual's mind" will never be realised with things being the way they are now… if you ate the whole cake but only left a tiny slice for me… the least you can do is admit it…

well… i didn't know street evangelists were actually roaming about this town… i was at jj with a couple of my housemates but i usually wander off by myself… anyway… not long after i sat down at mcd alone to enjoy my vanilla chocotop… this guy came up to me and mumbled something in mandarin… ok maybe he didn't mumble… but i just didn't catch exactly what he was saying… my first impression was that he was wanted to ask for directions or something similar… but before i could fully comprehend his speech… he introduced himself as a member of a certain church… and asked if he could take a seat with me seeing that i was alone… zeroing in on the prey it seemed to me…

so he started off with some small talk… i knew where it was leading to but i just played along anyway… and after a while… upon hearing me introducing myself (upon his request) with an english name… he asked if i were a christian… and i said yes nonchalantly… after a couple or more questions on my church and family… he soon left to spread the word among the other shoppers…

just so u know… catholics and christians have a vastly different point of view on evangelism… i'll just leave it at that… :)
