green day sang about it… now i'm gonna talk about it… sept has come and gone and i've yet to make any concrete progress on my project… i must have been sleepin' all this while… in a world of my own… a land of procrastination and delusion… two hours of interviews to prepare for… and a couple of upcoming tests too… doom is imminent but i'm somehow as relaxed as ever… or in other words… plain lazy…

now… i can either have a siesta… be a couch potato… or open my textbook… the first two are tempting alternatives… :)

my thigh muscles are aching… the effects of squatting too long and dashing around during the paintball match on thursday… everyone was trigger-happy… since the preliminary seminars have ended i suppose… eager to gun down their opponents… indeed it's a fun game… gettin' down and dirty on muddy soil… my shoes have turned from orange to brown…

i haven't had any pics posted up here lately… but by next week i shall have some hopefully… well… being camless and broke isn't an excuse for runnin' a dull blog i know… not havin' fantastic literary skills is…

it'll be a long weekend… probably not a very interestin' one…

the cumulative amount of tension the students in my faculty are undergoing this week should be higher than everest… judging from the reactions and responses of various people… well… life's hardly ever a bed of roses so it's important to realize this early and deal with it… easier said than done though…

i'm still slackin' around as usual… 24 is highly addictive and has got me glued for hours at end… hence… i've not gotten much work done… besides the minimal preparation i've made for thursday's showdown… which i'll just crap my way through i guess… the last presentation i gave was at intel a few months back… but that was a walk in the park…

i hope the effects of my constant procrastination don't come around to haunt me…

what's the antidote for constant negativity? i can't seem to remember the last time everything was just at its right place… or have those days passed… never to return? there it is… pessimism yet again…

is there actually a problem or is it a matter of perception? if i could take a positive approach then it'd probably lead to a good solution… but the root of it all is not as clear-cut as i'd like it to be… or is it?

a mishmash of activities in the cerebral cortex… that's what it is…

well… not in the usual context where this term is used… but i've indeed been starring in a couple of my friends' dreams this week… and it's quite interesting to interpret them… haha…

in the first… my car broke down during an outing with a group of friends… well… i could only conclude that statistically speaking… she's quite right… i've had three highway breakdowns in the past couple of years… four flat tyres… four dead batteries… no joke… but i guess dreams do somehow mirror reality…

and just this morn… i got a call at about half past four… from my friend who was still recovering from an action-packed nightmare that involved us being chased by a couple of guys out to get us after an argument with them earlier on… i'm not too sure what the argument was about… and what's interesting to note is that when she called… i had just finished the season 1 finale of 24… a show full of chases… among other stuff…

since i spent a third of my day in bed… and real life's kinda boring… i should start inducing more dreams to make sleep… more worthwhile and interesting? ;)

i’ve been thinkin’ of what to write here for the past few minutes… and i’m kinda undecided… looks like i’m just posting for the sake of it but i shall anyway…

at first i thought i’d tell some old-school tales ’bout my melodramatic acting since it came up during the previous post’s discussion but i shall keep that for another time i guess…

infineon just officiated their new fab today… more jobs in kulim for chip people like us… once a sleepy hollow… is it still?… i’m hoping the township will slowly grow into a more happenin’ place… at least it’d be more interestin’ workin’ there… an alternative from the mad jams in penang where most of the big electronics plants are… speakin’ of which… today was altera’s assesment test and i guess a number of you would’ve been there…

if i can’t even decide on a simple thing as what to post… i guess i shall need even more time contemplatin’ on which job where in the future… choosin’ my preferred departments in the application form this morn took me quite awhile too… well maybe just a few mins… cos i was too lazy to actually read through everythin’… they all looked similar to me… hehe…

which island will i end up in? the one where light settled at? raffles? well of course ibiza or hawaii would be great… only in the event that i somehow had a royal flush in hand during my next visit to genting… whenever that is…

for the sake of a post… this is it…

it was a cool one-week break… nothin' much out of the ordinary… just the usual meetin' up and hangin' out with friends from near and far… buddies i hardly get the chance to meet more than a few times annually… but that's just the way it is as years pass by… great food… drinks… and fellowship… it has been quite the ideal holiday… i wonder if there would be anymore times like these next summer when i would have (hopefully) got a job somewhere… no more long vacations… and hence… no such opportunities to just sit around over coffee/beer for hours… makin' road trips in the middle of the night around town in search for grub… enjoyin' lekor in the car with everyone else… hoppin' from one food joint to another like there ain't nothin' else to do besides eatin'… can't help but think that there ain't gonna be so many chances like these once the eight-to-five routine starts…

the bell rings… recess is over… i guess no one feels like lining up to the classroom…

time to sit back… relax… and sip some martini… it's half-time… and everyone needs a break… headin' home on sunday… time to catch up with family and friends… and have some fun… a week away from uni… a fruitful one i hope…

a sumptuous thai dinner… a bottle of martini… and a day closer to home… it's all good…
