last week was the most laidback one so far during my internship… i had pretty much completed everythin’ i was assigned to do… and i was spending most of my time just watchin’ youtube, worldcup highlights and of course tinkerin’ around with my site… but all of a sudden i have two more scripts to get workin’ on… i’ve to pull myself up as i’ve been slackin’… and dozing off sitting in front of the pc like i did last week… :)

my secret recipe outing on saturday night was sponsored by intel… reaping the harvest of my efforts… :) the weekend was pretty uneventful… besides hangin’ out at a couple of malls and cafes… photoshoppin’ some graphics for my site… and the usual dvd burnin’… and worst of all… the losing streak continues…

i’ve just designed the front page and header… it’s nothin’ really but at least it’s nicer than before… or so i think…

lunch break’s over…

the host server was down around seven last night for a number of hours… i couldn’t keep track… well anyway it’s up again so now worries… i calculated that the 99.9% uptime they promised would mean my site would be offline for roughly three and a half days a year… oh well… i’m not complainin’… unless it’s down more often than utm’s servers… haha…

well… i shall get back to some fiddling around with the photo gallery which i hope can be ready soon… actually it’s already up somewhere… but work’s still in progress though…

have been setting up a number of stuff on my site and blog as you might have noticed… there’s nothin’ much left to do at work as i finished the scripts pretty quickly with much time to spare now… got three recognitions from my teammates during the staff meeting i just attended… and also a couple of rewards… one of ‘em is a ten bucks secret recipe voucher… i’ve yet to collect the other one though… so… it is quite a relaxing time here… so much time to surf… watch streaming videos… and do some site-building… :)

was drivin’ to work on monday morning when suddenly a number of motorcyclists honked to direct my attention to my leaking petrol tank… apparently somebody tried to sabotage me by unscrewing the tank cap… and i was ignorantly driving around with only a few drops of petrol left… i left my car unattended just for a weekend and it resulted in this… cunning people around… it’s worse than i thought…

oh yeah… now it’s a losing streak… not too happy about it… ecuador’s performance was way below par… i had expected more from them…

i hope my winning streak doesn’t end too soon… in fact it has all been wins so far… anyway… it’s the weekend again and i’ll be heading home to meet up with some friends… and organize the dvd operations too… did three scripts this week and it’s kinda cool to be able to put the desired specifications into actual code… and satisfying to see that the result meets the needs of the user… :)

ecuador performed well enough to see them through to the round of 16 even before their final group match… and thanks to them my pocket is a lil heavier… hopefully tonight i shall not be disappointed by the teams i am banking on… the netherlands do not seem to be a favourable bet as ivory coast have been showing some quality playing in their opener… i’m eager to see how it turns out…

there have been some interesting and amazing videos being forwarded around lately… well… that’s what a POP mail and a high-speed connection at work is for… haha… the magic videos are especially mind-boggling and freaky… i must download criss angel’s mindfreak soon… saw him halve a woman’s body in plain sight… quite a feat it is…

the biggest CONSPIRACY of all time? what really transpired? an interesting read… especially for people who surf at work :)
