The Week in Review

Where? Hang Out When? June 24th, 2005 Who? [[[[|]]]]

I have been procrastinating this post for quite some time…
Been a hectic but fun week…
Let me start with what happened last Sunday…

Went to Penang… the heaven for gluttons… Butterworth to be precise… man… the food and drinks were CHEAP… on average it was 2 bucks for a plate of fried koay teow or a bowl of laksa… 80 sen for a glass of sugar cane… and slightly over a ringgit for a HUGE bowl of ais kacang?… i find no reason to complain at all… so delightful…
Stayed at a friend’s house which was pretty much smacked in the middle of a housing estate with dozens of rows of hawker stalls and street peddlers operating from am to pm… very convenient indeed… i pretty much stuffed myself with almost everythin’… roasted chicken wings… muachee… jawa mee… dim sum… and the list goes on… i can’t really recall… :)
Watched the weirdest F1 race in my whole 10 years of… erm… watching motorsports… for the enlightened… you know what I mean… Ferrari had their first 1-2 of 2005… albeit gaining it under weird circumstances… returned to Ipoh on Monday night… short but sweet trip
The rest of the week… well… hangin’ out most of the time… nothin’ interestin’ to elaborate i guess… just relaxin’ and slackin’… that’s what every lazy person does best… :P

Days Pass By

Where? Random When? June 16th, 2005 Who? [[[[|]]]]

Well… it’s great to be free of all the previous commitments and responsibilities i had to carry out… over the past month or so especially… in preparation of my bro’s big day… now that it’s finally over and everyone’s back to their own business… i’ve got to hang out more… meet up with friends… roam around downtown… have been burnin’ some dvds lately at a friend’s place… maybe i should get one myself soon cos im such a big-time pirate… hehe…

Everythin’s just cool nowadays… no stress… no worries… as a matter of fact i’ll be headin’ off for a two-day trip to Penang this Sunday… rest and relax… hopefully i’ll get to go to the beach… hehe… love it…

Tea Drinking - Bells Ringing - Wine Toasting

Where? Occasions When? June 12th, 2005 Who? [[[[|]]]]

Well… what an eventful and wonderful weekend… my second brother’s wedding with all the gatherings of friends and relatives round the clock… hundreds of snapshots… hours of videos… seriously… i’ve never taken so many photos in a day before… from the house to the church to the studio to the hotel to the restaurant and whatever… there was so much stuff to prepare but it was also so much fun too… although it’s pretty tiring… sleep-depriving… :)

The tonnes of pics would take forever to upload on my current dialup… so… i guess i’ll jus share them with you guys another time…

Thursday - Heavy supper till past midnight at Greentown with brother and friends…
Friday - Dim sum at nine in the a.m…. settle church, bridal and banquet arrangements with bro n sis-in-law till 2… church rehearsal at 4… preparation for buffet party at home at 6… was so sleepy halfway thru the party while ‘entertaining’ guests… hehe… retired at around 1+
Saturday - Woke up early… dressed up in a suit and tie as my bro’s best man in hot Malaysian weather… joined entourage to pick up the bride from her hotel suite at 8 in the a.m… photo session at suite… fetched the bride back to our house for the tea ceremony and another photo session with the groom’s family and etc and etc… church service at 11… lunch reception at 11.45… back home at 1… visitation by bride’s side of the family… photoshoot at bridal studio till 2+ … came home to practise for my performance ;)… napped for 20 mins… prepared guest list, guest book, drinks, liquor, guitar stuff, etc… dressed up again and left for the banquet in the hotel… made preparations… sit back and enjoy the dinner which began at 7.45… not for long though… up i went on stage for my rendition of Amazed and God Must Have Spent… not too bad i hope :P

That’s about all I guess… a long strenuous weekend but a simply fantastic one… everyone’s in high spirits… :)

The Dinner

Where? Occasions When? June 7th, 2005 Who? [[[[|]]]]
It was a cool weekend… well… well… what a great banquet and fellowship with the in-laws (of my bro, technically)… pretty friendly and cheerful bunch of people they are i must say… and to tell you the truth… it’s easier to strike up a conversation with them then with my paternal relatives… hmmm… not that we’re on bad terms or anythin’… we just dun have much to talk about i guess…

I think i only have two dinner pics of myself in it… as i was the video man with the handycam all the time… so… i’m not even in the video myself… hehe… the flash presentation of the newlyweds done by yours truly turned out pretty well ;)

Still have the guest list, seating arrangements, church service booklets and misc. stuff to organize… i must remember to bring the wedding rings too… hmmm… and also a speech i think… a good memory is essential… :)

Off I Go

The big day has arrived… will be off to Klang for my brother’s wedding dinner tomorrow… a happy occasion for all… guess that’s all for now… hmmm… i feel this is a boring blog… or is boring an overstatement? :)
