Where? Outpourings When? April 26th, 2005 Who? [[[[|]]]]
Appearances are nothing more but a facade… after a late night chat with some old friends at a stall… and a rather insightful n frank statement/remark from one of ‘em… it came to my realization that beneath our many similar interests and lifestyles and seemingly happy-go-lucky & all-is-fine lives… much more lurks within our being… feelings, problems and angst kept inside more often than not… guys in general do not always display their emotions outwardly… and they more often than not keep to themselves whatever troubles them… as guy outings normally meant gaming, playin’ billiards, drinking, soccer (playing/watching), jamming and casual chatter like music, sports and etc… not the kind of heart-to-heart talk that most guys would feel awkward with… in a group especially… but nevertheless… i guess there exists a need in many of them to communicate with their (close) friends on a more personal level when faced with despair… as cheerful as everyone may seem… there’s a whole lot of complications that lie beneath… as i have observed… so… reach out to a friend today…

On The Edge

Where? Music, Sport When? April 25th, 2005 Who? [[[[|]]]]
The Ferrari of Schumi was certainly blazing down the tarmac track at Imola in front of thousands of tifosi… undoubtedly the F2005 was the fastest machine on the track that day… with a blistering pace unmatched by any other car… faster by two secs a lap… nevertheless… Alonso deserved his hard-earned victory… a hattrick for him… and things are looking good for Renault… maybe not for long… if Ferrari continues its current pace… let’s hope Bridgestone doesn’t let us down…

Well… haven’t been posting regularly nowadays… well i guess it’s just that i don’t have anythin’ reli happenin’ up… nothin’ 2 rant… just been hangin’ out a lil… doin quite a lot of house-paintin’ and cleanin’… and of course… SHREDDIN’… been readin’ some lessons and theoretical stuff… quite essential for jazz… it’s quite a complicated genre… substitution… altered chords… and a whole bunch of weird scales… i hope i can learn all of it by myself… of course with the help of downloaded lessons… thank God for the internet…

Every guitar has its own story to tell… well i suppose pretty much everyone does too… hmmm… Vai’s EVO pickup was recovered from a dustbin hours after his tech threw it away without his knowledge… Wylde’s “Grail” Les Paul finally found its way back to him after having been stolen and missing for three years… well… i know my GAX isn’t as legendary as their axes… but i’m glad its story has a happy ending… just like the others… i’ve finally got the nut replaced and the frets adjusted nicely… along together with the action and intonation… all thanks to the skilful and responsible tech at Musicraft… i must reli thank him for he did it in less than 24 hours… oh… lookin back… i reli shouldn’t have sent it to that malay guy in JB who spent three months with it and screwed it up even after so long…

I am indeed happy to have it finally fixed… WELL

Ponder

Somehow… sometimes… its kinda hard to establish the right connection with the ppl u wanna build a relationship with… by relationship i mean a friendly bond in general… socially inept probably… so in the process of tryin’ to sow the seeds of growth… there’s a risk of steppin’ on the existing sprouts… am i being too figurative? I guess the only way of learnin’ is thru experience… but more importantly… realizing one’s weaknesses and workin’ postively to overcome them is probably the only way to step forward…
The quest continues… the struggles are far from the end…

Finally i actually found somethin’ airin’ on tv1 that interested me… Chocolat… i don’t think it’s that old… probably released a couple of years ago… didn’t watch it then… so… there i was droolin’ over the tempting shots of liquid chocolate being mixed in the tub…
My brother’s back for a day… with lots of wedding photos for us to view… hmm… pretty nice…

The Return

Hmm… that title reminds me of the F5 literature novel that some of us had to study… not me though… so anyway i’ve returned from a ’silent’ week without posts… wonder if anyone still bothers to check my ‘piece of mind’ anymore… hehe… besides returning to posting… i have also returned to ipoh… which is probably why i procrastinated… a slow dialup is acceptable… but one that keeps on disconnecting can be a little troublesome…
My solo endurance race (not the LeMans 24hrs nor the Paris-Dakar rally) spanned over five states and over half a megametre… remember the transnasional bus which crashed and landed on its side the opposite side of the road?… i was there… and luckily it didn’t block traffic on my northbound side… and luckily i hadn’t been there earlier or i might have been somehow involved… hmmm… scary to think how u can’t really avoid mishaps…
Did some wall-painting back home… gettin’ ready for my bro’s big day in june… hmm… been meetin’ up with a couple of frens over the past week… nothin’ much… watchin’ television like nobody’s business cos i haven’t been doing so for some time… hehe…
Formula 1 celebrations were subdued for obvious reasons… and it’s pretty interestin’ to see Ferrari’s dominance for the past few consecutive seasons shattered by Renault, which has made absolutely remarkable progress… and Toyota too… who are currently second behind them… and have two teams, i just realised… one in association with Jordan, but nevertheless amazing to me… in their fourth season in F1 only…
The world continues to mourn…
